Other Hunting Gadgets and Gear
Other Hunting Gadgets and Gear.
- Hunting can become a never ending investment if your gear selection was not thought through initially. Some gadgets are more for shows, while others are a very usefull. Since hunting gear reaches out in every direction, we will try to break it down into a list of what you should consider.
1. Hunting Accessories
From bags and slings, ammo cases, to hearing protection, these accessories seem like something you would never forget, but quite honestly, many individuals leave this till the last moment, and you know what that means.
2. Electronics
Although we want to limit ourselves to equipment only necessary, when hunting with a partner or in a team, two way radios are a great and rather important selection.
3. Lights
From flashlights to spotlights, can you imagine preparing yourself in a spot and yet not being able to see anything. Not only an enjancement of functionality, but a safety feature.
4.Optics
From Binoculars, to eyewear, optics enhance your sighting capabilities, and provide some safety as well.
5. Scents and Scent Eliminators and Game calls
Do you want your game to know that you are human? Certainly no, and that’s where scents come in play. Do you need your big game or small game to feel secure around you? Do you want to attract it to your destination? then game calls is something you should consider.
6. Treestands and Blinds
Need to gain more visibility or safety from that big Moose you want? Need to hide well enough from the small sppoky game?
7. Hunting Clothing
Blend in with mother nature, become part of it. Clothing not only gives you the edge, but better warmth and rain resistance than normal clothing.
8. Knives and Tools
Need to cut some branches are they are in the way, or dig up a hole. Why not get quality hunting equipment made just for that.
9. Dog Supplies
Are you, do you, or will you hunt with your dog(s)? From vests and boots to keep your best friend worm in water or snow, to training collars and will aid in getting your dog familiar with his/her responsibilites.
10. Waterfowl Boating and Blinds
Planning to hunt on the water? Why not conceal your boat and help it blend in with the surroundings.
11. After Your Shot
Got your trophy? Great! But what next? Cleaning/processing and moving it without the right tools is nothing but troublesome. Far away from your vehicle with a big game? seems like something we can’t plan ahead of, and with that in mind, although they get pricey, 4-wheelers are a great investment.
12. Survival, GPS, Navigation and vehicles
It might seem silly, but without a good map/compass or a GPS, it is quite easy to get lost, so why should you risk it, especially if help is hundreds of miles away. We never anticipate it, but should always plan for the worst, and with that in mind, a first aid kit is a must out in the wilderness.
13. Books and DVDs
How to find, shoot, clean your game, cooking and processing, or training your dog, there is no better way that to get that help from a good book or a dvd.
This table below branches off a bit more with your selection of gear that you should and/or sooner or later will consider. Please use it more as a check or a reminder. We have also added some links to good deals for some of these great Gadgets.
